How many men does it take to fix a wacky TV? Marta and Brent came for New Year’s Eve. There were fireworks and lots of snacks.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch----the boys are at the range. Time for father/son bonding with firearms.

Well…….what’s wrong with this picture? It’s my 15th wedding anniversary and I’m out drinking with my brother and my nephew. I guess we’ll celebrate a bit later!

Melbourne Beach. It’s a bit cold for Ass in the sand or toes in the water, but I can still put them in the sand. It’s beautiful here.

OK, why do we care about presents under the tree? What’s so special? In our house, the presents usually don’t go under the tree until Christmas Eve. This year? Early. First time in 15 years.

This cute little bird was a gift from my friend, Cindy. (colleague) Red and white touque reminds me of Canada!

Gingerbread house for the big guy. It seems that the engineering apple didn’t fall too far from the tree!

The top of the Christmas tree on the front porch, complete with kitschy glowing star purchased for $3.00 on our FB garage sale site for our subdivision. Love it.

These kids were learning about prototyping and getting product through trademark and patent land. Craig came to talk to them about the process in the real world.

She loves to play ball. She’s like a kid in a high chair though. Drop, mama fetch. Drop, mama fetch. Drop, screech at mama, mama fetch.
365: December 12, 2011
This is my trusty camera. It’s the 12th, so it worked overtime today. 12 photos on the 12th of each month!
December 10, 2011
I couldn’t leave his stocking off of the mantel. The first year without our first fur baby. It was hard.
December 9, 2011
The annual Christmas book from my dear friend, Mickey. It’s usually a children’s book, but this time she sent a Chocolate cookbook. ![]()

Go ahead and make fun of me now-------it’s the only way I can keep track of all of my vitamins and medication. It’s also much faster than opening all of those bottles every day!
365 catch up!
If you have my blog in your feed reader: I’m so sorry. I’m apologizing in advance. I’m preparing to upload Dec 365 photos.

We finally found a place of honor for this quilt. My bonus mom made it for my husband using all of his Army t-shirts and memorabilia. It’s just beautiful and I think it is a fantastic way to honor his service. Thanks for your service---I love you!

Month in Review, April 2012
I have chosen not to do a 365 project this year. Instead, I am doing a “month in review”. If I’d gotten my act together in January, you would have a post for each month. I’m going to start with April and move backwards. It is much easier to scrapbook these if the blog entry is done. Cut, paste, put in the photos and move on.
Here goes……….
Two worn out pups. They tend to recharge like this several times each day. In between naps? It’s really noisy.
Lacy is right at home with us. She is developing great relationships with all of the family, including Sunny. I’ve not heard her bark at the bird once. She does, however, bark at EVERYTHING else. Like I said, noisy around here.
I find some photo gems each time I download what is on the camera. Aaron took this photo of Dan, recharging.
And I’m assuming he took this photo of Sunny. Funny perspective. I need to work on depth of field and focusing with him. He’s turning in to quite the photographer.
Sunny is really enjoying fresh banana. She gets a slice first thing in the morning and it keeps her quiet for a bit. (Did I mention how noisy it is here?)
In the column of “things that make you go hmmm”, my DH planting cilantro and jalapenos in our backyard container garden. Notice that he is armed. You never know when those golfers will get aggressive!
Lacy helps with the basil. She loves to dig, I can only imagine what she is thinking!
I am so grateful for my husband. He constantly amazes me with the things he does for all of us. He pulled over to photograph Jenna’s odometer when she turned over 200,000 miles. He also drives her every day now while I get the luxury of driving a new to us car.
Craig discovered that even birds have that “sweet spot”. The dogs kick their legs, the bird extends her wings.
Date night at our house. An hour on the range followed by Mexican food and then live music on the patio. Exactly my idea of a good date!
Another kid perspective of a bird’s world. Sunny loves all of her “roads” that get her around the cage without having to go upside down over the top. Aaron is the perfect height to see this perspective, so he grabbed this photo.
We had friends stop by for an impromptu lunch. This is Princeton, the lovely husband of my friend, Nicole. He and Craig have become fast friends over the last few years, but had never met in person. The could have talked all weekend!
And this is Nicole. ![]()
And with their daughter, Michelle.
It wouldn’t be a month in review without the “currently making me really happy Pampered Chef product”. This is the double burner griddle. Nothing like whipping a batch of pancakes out in nothing flat!
After reviewing the photos of the month, Max seems to be camera shy. This is the only one I could find, from this month’s 12 of 12.
And a shot of our beautiful Southern skies.
