What a fantastic weekend. Cyndi and I finally got a photo with both of us in it! She planned and implemented the retreat and it was fabulous. I arrived home tired, but happy.

I took the kids to Steak and Shake for dinner. My plate is in the lower part of the photo. I just love the Frisco melt. So much so that I skipped The Biggest Loser snack last night and had a salad for lunch! Thanks to Jazzercise, I can eat this way occasionally and not be as big as a house! Aaron has one of his favorite things on his plate. Cheese fries. Mmmm!

Dan the dog is truly, truly spoiled. Aaron made a nest for him on the couch before he left for school. He was snoozin’ when I took this photo. See him “side-eyeing” me?

It is so easy to climb in to a uniform and head to work. I just grab a hanger with black pants and a polo and throw it in to the car when I head to Jazzercise. In my workout bag? Black socks, clean underclothes and food service shoes. It’s not glamorous, but it sure beats figuring out what to wear every day!

12 of 12, March 2011

I’m still getting caught up on layouts for 12 of 12, but with a retreat upcoming…………..there’s hope. Here are the photos from this month. It was fun trying to get the photo of our family group. I was too lazy to drag out the tri-pod, much merriment ensued as we tried to get all 3 of us and two dogs in the photo! Two of my favorite people are included this month. Tammy and Laura are 2 of our Jazzercise instructors. They truly make my life better! The last photo shows the re-setting of the clock for the start of Daylight Savings.

I mowed the lawn today and rewarded myself with a beer. In the shower. As I set the bottle down, I was reminded of my childhood, and this song. And the fact that I hadn’t brought a huggie up to prevent me from breaking the bottle. The best thing about showering with a beer? If you miss your mouth, you don’t get beer on your shirt!

The world watched in horror as a horrific earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. This graphic shows how the rising water could effect the US. The unrest in Northern Africa and now this earthquake remind me how lucky I am to live in The United States where things are fairly peaceful.

I spend most of the day on Saturday with my girlies. Marta and I drove to Cathryn’s together. We did get distracted by a Goodwill store on the way in to town though. I asked if I should stop and Marta was all, “um, yeah!” It was quite funny. We drove home in pouring rain. I hate driving at night. I hate driving in the rain. I’m SO glad Marta was with me!
