The kids kept looking gratefully at me, “Thanks, mom” (licking fingers)

First dinner on the screened in porch. The table is the one that was in our dining room when I was a child.

Bailey has missed having a couch to perch on. It didn’t take long for him to figure out how to get from the floor to the seat to the arm to the back of the couch. He’s a happy camper!

I’m sure I’ll get grief for this one. Can’t you just hear what my mom is saying, “You’re taking photos of me looking like this?” We had just spent the day moving and loading furniture. Actually, THEY spent the day moving furniture. I drove the truck and backed in (3 times!). I threw my back out on the 4th. Getting a beer out of the cooler. Yeah. Bummer.

This is the official photo for the 4th. It was hard to choose- more photos coming soon in another post.
My niece, Kara, cousin Ellie and nephew Jason wearing the funny hats from the street vendor during the parade. Ellie says that her husband, Aaron will wear the pink hat for the next Pride parade in Chicago!

Not really the best photo, but the only taken on July 3 and the only one of all 3 of them together! From left to right, my Cousin Kade, my Cousin, Ellie and their Dad, my Uncle Buzz. We had family dinner today and I put the camera down. ![]()
Too many photos…………
It’s hard to choose just one photo every day. This one was a close 2nd. I spent the weekend calling family members by the incorrect name. Do you see the family resemblance?
This is my nephew, Ryan. His Dad, Randy (who is my brother), and his Uncle, Buzz. (given name is Mark, don’t ask). My poor mother had a heck of a time as well.

I spent the day with family. It’s days like this that make me miss my home town. We went to the farmer’s market, thrift store shopping and then made lunch. This is my niece, Kinzie and her mama- the amazing Angela. Angela is god-mother to my kidlets. I’ve missed her.

The 20 somethings are here! Ryan, Jason, and Cadie showed up to spend them night on their way from FL to IL. I’m headed to IL in the 4th seat tomorrow. Road trip!

Aaron and I spent the day on a “date” at a local museum. So nice to spend time with my son one on one.

Love these built ins. The bottom two cupboards hold scrapbooks. The kids can get to them now. The tomatoes? They ended up in pico de gallo. We ate it all with avocado and black beans. Nom, nom, nom.

New thing to do: stand in the back yard at dusk and hit golf balls back on to the green. My kids are going to be SO popular. “Hey, Dan, is that my ball?” “No, Bob, there’s 6 of them here, what brand was it?”

You know those imperfect photos that scrapbookers prefer not to use? This is one of those. It does show the motion of my life. Those are my feet during Jazzercise. Life. In motion.
