Facebook check in and a game of ball with Dan Dog. Dan likes to eat whatever Sunnie the bird discards. TKO class for Aaron and lawn mowing for Max. Max finishes his day with a bit of XBox live gaming.
Cori brought her kids for a mommy/kid sleepover. A good time was had by all and we actually got a little bit of sleep!
Strange photo. I looked EVERY where for that square pan when I made peach crisp on the 16th. I opened up the fridge this morning. There’s the pan. Either I’m worn out from work or getting old. I’m afraid it’s a bit of both!
It’s all about the bird these days. I looked out to the screened porch and Sunnie was running from shoulder to shoulder, dancing and playing peek a boo. They were both moving, hence the blurry photo. Cracked me up!
Sunnie goes to bed around 8:30. If she is up much later she gets peckish- biting and such!
At least he still lets me photograph him. The headset puts him on XBox live in surround sound. I have to put a text message in through messenger to get his attention to tell him dinner is ready!
Sunnie is getting more comfortable. Today marked the first day that she ventured from her play gym on to Craig’s hand. She is molting as well and we are starting to see blue and green feathers emerge.
New allowance amounts. The kids get a dollar for every year of life. One kid is now a teenager and the other hit double digits. Exactly how did I get to be the mother of a 10 year old? Don’t blink.
Look! It’s Jimmy and Tricia. They were my gracious hosts and kept me over night in the city for the wedding. Tricia and I grew up together.
Old friends continued. This is Ginny and Dan. I started taking care of Dan when he was about 6 months old. Ginny Bug followed a few years later. I helped raise them. Their mom- Laurie- helped raise me. Ginnie got married today. I’m officially old.
Today I took the red eye to Chicago to see friends. I haven’t seen Karen for a good long time. We went thrift store shopping, got a pedicure, made a Target run and went to a neighborhood barbecue. Just what I needed!
Sunnie came home today. She is in her travel cage while Craig scrubs the big one. Dan is not impressed.
Sadly, our little Pablo the swallow died a week ago. Last night, I was on FB and my husband was trolling Craigslist. We both came up with a post listing this bird for adoption at the same time. Her name is Sunnie. Today we went to visit her. She looks healthy, but it’s obvious that she needs a new family. Her current mama has to keep her in a back bedroom as she works from home and needs it quiet when on the phone with clients. Craig fell in love with her and we put down a deposit on the spot. We’ll return to get her on Friday.
